Pardigm – Ritika Sharma

The withered tree smiled at me

This isn27t Me Rachita Singh

As pale leaf whispered preach
That death will come and life will go
And still you’ll be alone.

I shunned it away with a scratch of dust
and turned back to tell the crux
But eyes turned in and eyes turned out
I wished them here with no voice to shout.

The creeping silence and daunting foes
Kept me alive with pelted stones
Yet i stood, and raced the forest
And at the end, they all came calling.

The caveat gave me a brand new line
That life is a solitary shrine
No place is yours no human mine
And you are alone with no-one to cry.
