They say it’s never too late. 3 days to go and you haven’t touched the books? Don’t worry! There still seems to be some light for you. The clock seems to be ticking faster than ever and the Goosebumps in your heart are just blowing up into blighted blisters…
There is no doubt that there would be a few who would be idling around, having completed everything ages ago. Nevertheless, the majority of us remain human, and are stranded in a stifling sea of algorithms, diagrams, formulas and mechanisms. How to cross the sea in 3 days – there are no shortcuts to it. However, we will try our best to help you find a boat! Make sure you employ the right strategy to conquer the odds!
Here are some tips that will hopefully aid you.
1. PSUC:
- · Learn important theory questions as they are easy to score in.
- · The cut offs for A+ are high in this subject. Pay special attention towards strings, arrays and flow of control as these are conceptual and major chunk of questions come from these chapters
- · Practise output based questions from the slides.
2.BET:
- · Try and practise every slide numerical. The questions that appear are generally of the same trend as the one given in slides.
- · Pay special attention towards 3 phase, transformers and induction motors.
- · If you are facing difficulty in completing the course then it’s better to leave the last chapter (measuring instruments)
3. Chemistry:
- · Understand metal finishing and corrosion as much as possible as mugging them will definitely lead to mix up or confusion.
- · Practice numericals on glass electrode and calomel electrode.
- · Ultimate analysis numerical highly probable to come.
- · Liquid crystals – questions will be much easier no matter how ‘Greek’ the chapter looks like. Focus on certain important topics your teacher may have mentioned.
4. Basic Electronics:
- For the first 3 chapters, try going through Uday Kumar solved examples. They mostly cover the important numericals that might come
- For the digital part, class notes are the best. There is no need to follow anything else. Just follow the notes and hope for the best.
5. Maths:
- · Some chapters like linear algebra, Taylor and Lagranges theorem are relatively scoring.
- · For areas and volumes, try arranging for some good teacher’s notes.
6. MES:
- . Steam, Power transmission and IC engines’ problems are very easy scoring in MES. Just go through the Slide problems. And if u r interested, do KRG Solved examples. Its more than enough
- . Casting, Forging, milling, Drilling, welding are the Dry topics in MES. Just Follow the Slides to get maximum benefit.
7. MOS
- . All the chapters have equal weightage.
- . But some are relatively easier to score. Kinematics, resultant of forces, thin cylinders and stresses on inclined planes are relatively easier whereas Temperature stress, moment of inertia and simple stresses and strains require more grasping.
