ManipalBlog Mangalore presents to you the opportunity to display your Poetry and Photography skills and win handsome cash prizes and gift vouchers.
Details of the contest (PHOTOGRAPHY)
- All contestants are required to click pictures on the theme- VALENTINE’S DAY. Add a caption, not exceeding 25 words.
- Only one entry per person is allowed.
- Entry must be your own work and not copied from the internet.
- Original picture as well as the processed picture have to be submitted.
- No water-markings allowed.
- Minor adjustments like cropping, sharpening, exposure and levels are allowed. No content alteration should be done. No borders, frames, text or other graphic treatment are allowed in the photograph.
- No composite images, HDR pictures and stitched panoramas are allowed.
- Entries should be in JPEG or JPG format.
- The EXIF data should be accessible.
- Entries are to be submitted by 5 PM on 19 th February 2014.
- Entries should be sent as attachments to [email protected] with the subject ‘Valentine’s day Photography’ along with the contestant’s name, age, college, place and contact number.
- The entries will be published online at ManipalBlog Mangalore FB Page on 20th February 2014. The ‘likes’ will be counted from 20th February till 25th February, 12 Noon.
- Results will be announced on or before 25th February 2014 !
- Entries submitted will be judged by 3 judges. 25% weightage will be given to the amount of Facebook likes and traffic generated by each photograph.
Details of the contest (POETRY)
- All contestants are required to write a poetry on the theme- “Valentine’s day”.
- Maximum word limit of the poem is 300 words.
- Only 1 entry per person is allowed.
- Entries should be your own work and not copied from somewhere else.
- Entries should be sent in the text to [email protected] with the subject ‘Valentine’s Day Poetry’ along with contestants’ name, age, college, place and contact number.
- Entries are to be submitted by 5 PM on 19 th February 2014.
- The entries will be published online at MB Mangalore on 20th February 2014. The ‘likes’ will be counted from 20th February till 25th February, 12 Noon.
- Results will be announced on or before 25th February 2014!
- Entries will be judged by 3 judges. 25% weightage will be given to the amount of likes and traffic generated by each poetry on our blog.
Eligibility:
- This contest is open to everyone above the age of 16 and residing in India during the contest period.
- Only original, unpublished poetry written in English without profanity and original photographs are eligible.
- Each entry must contain solely the entrant’s original ideas and language. Your submission of the article and entry form is your guarantee that you are the sole author and copyright holder of the article.
- The participant may visit our blog MB Mangalore.
Restrictions: Entries may not be submitted for publication or published elsewhere (either digitally or in print). Incomplete or illegible entries and entries that do not meet the Eligibility standards in these official rules may be disqualified. No vulgarity and indecent photographs/poetry would be accepted.
Prizes: In addition to the cash prizes and gift vouchers, each participant will receive an e-certificate of appreciation from ManipalBlog Mangalore. Winners will also receive some exciting prizes from our contest sponsors “Just Bake” and “Adam n Eve Salon“.
How to Enter: There is NO FEE to enter this contest. Mail your story/essay as an attachment to [email protected], with subject as Valentine’s Day- Photography/Poetry. Please mention your Name, Age, Gender, your college/workplace affiliation, City and telephone number in the mail.
