Nothingness – Jayati Dureja

Atrophied dreams and heightened nightmares
Silent screams and poisoned warfare
And she let it lie there
The white tear from a broken string of pearls
Watching it closely
Manifestations of light
And darkness unabridged
And she saw it lie there
Into nothingness came everything
And into everything her nothingness fused
To create whorls of emerald, sapphire, scarlet , azure
And then, black
The pearl rolled away,
The tear stationary
Like the lonesome sun,
Watching his nine lovers flee
Unaccustomed to his silent prayer.

  1. I Really like this one. Short, simple.
    LOVE the last line.

Also, "The tear stationary like the lonesome sun" – AMAZING simile.
Wish i could write like this.
