Taj Mahal– This place needs no introduction. When it comes to romantic scenes, it’s only expected that the Taj is the first location that would strike directors as the ideal backdrop. The Taj, built by Shajahan in remembrance of his beloved wife, Mumtaz, is the most popular tourist destination in India. Some of the songs shot at Taj Mahal are Phool Se Jo Khusboo Aye Ajooba from Jeans, Isq Risk song from Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, Bol Na Halke from Jhoom Barabar Jhoom and many more.

Athirappilly Falls
– It is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Kerala. The falls is a part of Chalakudy River and it is approximately 80 feet in height. They are often referred to as the Niagara Falls of India. Mani Ratnam’s Raavan, Dil Se, Guru and Iruvar have been shot here. The songs Jiya Jale and Barso Re have been shot against the beautiful backdrop of this waterfall.

Dal Lake-Known as the Jewel in the Crown of Kashmir and Srinagar’s Jewel, Dal Lake is the most important landmark of Srinagar. No tourist would leave Kashmir without paying a visit to this famous lake.

Dal Lake is lined by gardens built in the Mughal era. The best views of the lake can be seen from the Shalimar Garden and Nishat Garden that were built during the reign of Mughal Emperor, Jehangir. Over 20 films have been shot in and around the famous water body including Kashmir Ki Kali, Jaanwar, Mission Kashmir, Dil Se, Rockstar and Jab Tak He Jaan. Shikaras are a cultural symbol of the lake. It is often called the Gondola of Kashmir and has achieved iconic status.

Leh, Ladakh
– Anybody who has seen the movie 3 Idiots will remember the final scene where Madhavan, Kareena Kapoor and Sharman Joshi finally find their long lost friend, Aamir. This reunion was shot in Pangong Lake, Ladakh. Pangong Tso is a lake in the Himalayas and extends from India to China. 60% of the length of the lake lies in China. During winter the lake freezes completely, despite it holding saline water.

Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad – It is the largest film studio complex in the world. Ramoji Film City is one of the largest tourist destinations in Asia, with spectacular locations, games, entertainment, events and food. There are over hundreds of movie sets that take one right into the movie. Some of the hit songs like Ooh La La from Dirty Picture and Dreamum Wakeuppam from Aiyya were shot here.
