The 80s and 90s are considered the decades of Sitcoms. There are a few out there on TV these days, but, they do not have the same charm as the ones we used to watch at the turn of the millennium. Am sure you too would have enjoyed watching them, laughing at the characters and their superb timing. Here I list the Top 10 Sitcoms in my opinion, which ran during the turn of the millennium. Of course, I’ve not ranked them in order (each has its moments and makes it difficult to rank them).

70s show sitcom
It was just awesome,a series with a teenage group from Wisconsin, during the ’70s.

1. That 70s Show (August 23, 1998, to May 18, 2006) – Fez and Kelso are funny !! The way the teens try to deal with life as a whole, and slip past Red’s constant ‘Dumbasses’, is sure to make you laugh.

2. Becker (1998 to 2004) – or Dr Becker; Linda -Becker’s assistant dumb as a doorknob but always loveable Margaret is the black secretary for Becker, and BOB.

Dharma-Greg Sitcom

3. Dharma & Greg (September 24, 1997, to April 30, 2002) – Dharma is famous for the plethora of silly humor. The humour is appealing indeed 😉 .

4. Mad about You (September 23, 1992 to May 24, 1999) – Helen Hunt and Paul Reiser have the best chemistry and they, as a couple, are adorable, touching and utterly hilarious in everything they do.

5. Married with Children (1987–1997) – Christina Applegate stars in this sitcom. The Bundy family were excellent and brilliantly complemented the characteristics of Al Bundy.

6. F.R.I.E.N.D.S (September 22, 1994, to May 6, 2004) – Well it is not definitely my fave show. I’d prefer Seinfeld anytime !! Although started watching friends and it is pretty fun. Joey is a character and probably ‘the character’ amongst them all. But in the end its like how a sitcom should be – Funny !

7. Everybody Loves Raymond (1996–2005) – Ray, Robert and Frank with his Holy Crap keep it alive.

8. Seinfeld (July 5, 1989, to May 14, 1998) – Jerry and his friends are amazing. Kramer is funny as hell and I simply love to watch his character unfold ;). George shouts triumphantly after winning an argument that “there is no bigger loser than me!”. Kramer driving a fire truck, playing golf .. baking himself on the roof after applying butter on himself .. OMG !!

9.Simpsons (December 17, 1989 – forever?) – not out since 1989. I watched Seinfeld and Simpsons back to back 2 times a day :). The star out here are Bart and Homer. I luv the scenes where Homer uses his brains, his crazy ideas and when he grabs Bart by his neck !! lol
10. Southpark (August 13, 1997 – Forever?) – Four boys. One f**ked up town. Although it depicts politics, the media, today’s youth, celebrities, violence in our society, and much much more in an odd fashion. Stan and Eric are stars here. This one may have not clicked with the non-US audience, but a keen follower of American politics, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it over time.
