Her Excellency, Hon’ble Smt Pratibha D Patil, President of India, inaugurated the TAPMI, Manipal campus on the 9th December, 2010. The dignitaries present were His Excellency Shri H R Bharadwaj, Governor of Karnataka, and Minister for Higher Education of Karnataka Dr V S Acharya besides others, Faculty-Staff-Students of TAPMI and Media persons.
It was a historic event at the twenty-six year old Management Institute – TAPMI, Manipal. The place is a creation of a visionary Dr T.M.A. Pai about sixty years back as an educational hub with Arts, Commerce, Engineering, Architectural, Medical, Dental, Pharmaceutical, Nursing, Communication Colleges and then taken forwarded by his nephew Dr T. A. Pai to set up this B-School in 1980. The twenty fifth annual Convocation would be in March 2011. Several eminent academicians have visited TAPMI in the past.
