Have you ever wondered if the person you considered your boyfriend/ girlfriend really cares about you, of if they looked al you as just their sex slave? Today’s social values are not what they used to be. Divorce rates are high, as well as domestic violence. And the general slate of mind is “It’s not who you are, it’s who you try to look like.”
I constantly hear people saying that you should wear these clothes, have that hairstyle, wear this cologne in order to meel the right person. Social acceptance should be based on your inner beliefs and feelings, not the clothes you wear or the car you drive. You may look good now, but what about 20 or 30 years down the road?
Women go out expecting to be treated like garbage and the minute they run into someone who is honest, caring, and understanding, they become so intimidated by that person that they make every effort to avoid him. Thus, it no longer pays to be a nice guy.
Where did relationships based on love, friendship, and a sense of humor go? Now what you drive, what you wear and the size of your wallet determines whether the relationship will work. Marriage is now a business agreement where prenuptial contracts are signed well before the vows are exchanged. Deviation, deception, and lies are the cards for the game of “love,” where there can be only one winner, even though a relationship takes two.
So who’s the loser this time? There are those who say that if you want love and happiness you have to play the game. Well, I don’t like the rules.
