Maravanthe is a unique sea side town of Karnataka, where the West Coast highway (NH-17) cruises along the Arabian Sea coast on one side and the Sauparnika river rushes against the verdant mountainous backdrop of the Western ghats on the other.
A beautiful beach at Maravanthe adds to the natural beauty of the place, making it quite a promising spot for water sports and holidays. With the fluorescent paint – palm trees and beach side rocks, Maravanthe beach, around an hour and a half drive from Manipal, is one of the most popular beaches in this temple-town district on the west coast of Karnataka.
The water sounds calm, quiet and soothing. Taking a long walk under the moon on silver sands of the beach is something that any visitor would love to do besides the sun sets and sun rise. Regular buses ply from Udupi, Manipal and Kundapura. The resorts at Maravanthe even provide cab facilities.
The beautiful route adds on immensely to the destination.
