We got our hands on the farewell speech written by an MITian which he is planning to deliver on Farewell Day for 2014 batch.
All my friends settle down let me talk or I’ll get more and more emotionally frustrated.
It is hard to believe that my life between Timmy’s and Deetee (via Sheela’s) in the last 3.5 years is coming to an end. I would like to thank all the people, who have helped me in my life to get here. I have a list in my hand; please forgive me if I forget someone. I hope you understand. It’s getting a bit difficult to talk but I will manage.
First, I want to thank the most important people in my life, my parents. Without their encouragement, sacrifice and love, I wouldn’t be standing in front of you. I don’t know how they dealt with such a naughty child like me. I was not easy to manage. They must be extremely patient.
The most beautiful thing happened to me was when I first visited Deetee. Those were special moments and it has continued that way for the next 3.5 years.
Deetee is a great and without that, I don’t think I would have been able to focus on studies freely and without stress.
I am lucky to have the support of college authorities. I thought my career was over when I was caught by chief warden sipping Old Monk in my hostel room. But he let me off with a fine and afterwards never I boozed in the hostel.
My career in MIT started when I was 17. The turning point of my career was when I visited OM Xerox center for notes just before BET exam. Since then it’s been saving my ass before every exam. Standing here, I am extremely delighted to see OM Xerox akka cheering for me. (he has planned to invite Xerox akka for the farewell function).
Thanks to all the people associated with Manipal, especially Timmy Anna, Lipton Anna, LC Anna, Tiwari chat bhayya without their experience, Manipal would be incomplete. And those many Doberman guards. Even though I didn’t buy any text books from Kamath Store Anna, heard a lot about him from friends. Special thanks to you as well.
I take this opportunity to apologize to all the authorities I have abused during the power outages. I didn’t really mean to abuse, it was just for fun. But still sorry.
I know I have met so many guys who have fasted for me, prayed for me, done so much for me. Without that life wouldn’t have been like this for me. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart, and say that time has flown by rather quickly, but the memories you have left with me will always be with me forever and ever, especially “MIGHTY MIGHTY MIT” which will reverberate in my ears till I stop breathing. Thank you very much. If I have missed out on saying something, I hope you understand. Goodbye.
PS: All the facts in this article are made up. But you already knew that. Didn’t you?
PS: you forgot to thank ION for their ‘excellent’ services.
