3 Year Specialist Residency Program leading to a Post Graduate Degree from the Kathmandu University in Nepal. This program is delivered in association with Manipal Health Systems, a leading health care delivery network in India.
This specialist residency program is recognized and approved by Kathmandu University and training is conducted at Manipal Health Systems hospitals in Bangalore and Udupi. On successful completion of the residency program candidates are eligible to appear for MD/MS Examinations conducted by Kathmandu University.
The MD/MS degrees of Kathmandu University are not recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI) but are recognized and approved by the Nepal Medical Council (NMC). On entering the program, the Nepal Medical Council will enlist residents for the duration of the training program and issue them a Certificate of Enlistment.
Admissions are open for the August 2010 batch of the program. The following Specialties are offered with limited number of seats*:
Anesthesiology/ Dermatology / Internal Medicine / ENT / General Surgery / Obstetrics & Gynecology / Ophthalmology / Orthopedics / Pediatrics / Radiology / Radiation Oncology / Psychiatry / Bio – Chemistry / Microbiology / Pathology / Forensic Medicine / Anatomy / Pharmacology / Physiology
Eligibility: Interested applicants must possess an MBBS degree from an institution recognized by the Medical Council of India. A merit list will be drawn on the basis of marks obtained by the applicants in all the subjects at MBBS level and the results of the entrance exam.
Key Dates to Remember: The last date for receiving completed application forms is 7th August 2010.
How to apply: Fill the Application Form completely, and it should be accompanied by a Demand Draft for Rs.1000 in favor of “Manipal Universal Learning Pvt Ltd”, payable at Bangalore. Application forms and DD’s should reach the following office on or before August 8, 2010:
