Gurupurab 2013

gurupurab
The birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev – the first or the founder guru of the Sikhs, is celebrated with great fervour on the full moon day of Kartika.

Peace, what the world cant find , but what the world is after for peace from Himalaya peaks, to the middle of ocean people search for peace but surprisingly peace was offered at a small gurduwara on the Manipal highway, the occasion being the gurupurab celebration organised by student of KMC and the local Gurudwara commitee

Over hundreds of students from KMC Mangalore stepped away from their ordinary lazy Sunday routine to take part in the Gurupurab celebration organized by KMC Mangalore and a gurudwara on the Manipal-Mangalore highway.

The event started at 9:30 with soothing keertan along with tasty snacks. After 2 hours of keertan and half an hour of ardaas, the langar was served. After a long time we got to enjoy real authentic Punjabi food. The daal was just out of the world!.

After the event was over all the volunteers  helped out with cleaning the dish and packing things up

This Sunday, was one perfect day to attain peace and some tasty authentic Punjabi food, seeing blooming smiles all around and the whole scene just so rejuvenating
