The sky dark and gloomy
Reflects my own deep thoughts.
My loved one just drove
Away from me
Without the faintest thought.
It isn’t that I’ll miss her.
It isn’t that I’ll cry.
It isn’t that I’ll die without her
But now I wish we could have tried.
She spoke of love that could not last.
There was sincerity in her eyes
But I was used to all her tricks
I knew this was another pack of lies.
She held my hand firmly
And made me promise not to cry
She opened the door to let me out
And then sadly bid me good-bye.
She drove away in style
But I hope she doesn’t go too far
You see that dirty @#!@%
Drove away in my new car.
