Manipal University Jaipur Placement Scenarios

We have been coming across the same doubts again and again regarding the placement cells and stats of different branches, so here we come up with an explicit mention of all opportunities and branch wise figures of the same.

CSE, CCE, and IT Engineering Placements at Manipal University Jaipur

As for the SCIT department, concerning the placements, we’ll talk about the following things
1. The companies and opportunities on campus
2. What should you do to conquer the challenges
3. Is CV important? How it should be?

We get a lot of companies on campus ranging from Microsoft to TEKsystems, Dell to ZS associates. Companies come for both tech and non-tech profiles. Microsoft last year came and took 12 people for a non-tech profile as per my knowledge, with a 12-13 LPA.

Dell hosts a hackathon for hiring. People are divided into teams, and a problem is assigned. This was for a technical job. Later the HR rounds and you get the job. It was ranging from 10 – 12 LPA.

There are mass recruiters. TCS coming this time to college, let’s how it goes. Other is Cap Gemini, offering Software Engineering profile. The package is approximately 4-5 LPA.

ZS associates come there for the Business analytical profile. 4-6 LPA.

TEKsystems is a service based company, which hires for software engineer profile, 6-8 LPA.

Other companies are Value Labs, for Data Science, 4-5 LPA, Healthkart, and many more ranging around 4-6 LPA.

Secondly, what should you do? All of these companies hire on three bases, 1st is the Technical round, i.e., includes competitive coding questions and questions from the syllabus taught over the last 3 years. Then the GD and the HR interview ( in which they might ask anything).

Dell is the only company which actually makes you work on the real problem. Thus it needs more than competitive coding skills.

The format of the CV should not be worried about, MUJ gives a standard format for all of the companies for on campus. Which includes your marks, educational achievements. Your internships, projects, and other activities.

Talking about placements, MUJ being only 7-8 years old is obviously growing in terms of placement, but the quality of education is pretty good for pursuing higher studies. Teachers also give special attention to students who want to study for GATE Exams.

Companies that come for placements are:-

  • Ericson

The average package goes to about Rs.5 lakhs, but it can go up to Rs.10 lakhs and above depending on the individual skills and knowledge (Totally based on the past records of placements in MUJ). The essential criterion for a student to sit for placements is to have 7.5 and plus GPA.

Various professors are working on industrial level projects, and research works with numerous Ph.D. pursuing students under them in well-equipped labs. There is a different lab for Semi-Conductor Fabrication, which also provides a certificate after completing the course there. Also, there are labs for IOT, Communication Lab, etc.

Recently a new development is being done by providing an opportunity to few 2nd-year students to work on the ongoing projects with the Ph.D. pursuing students under a particular team of faculty for providing them industrial exposure at an early stage of their career. Guest Lectures and seminars are included in this for giving them an industrial exposure and making the students INDUSTRY READY (this will help the students those who want to do MS or Ph.D. as they can publish their articles related to the project they are working at).

This student chapter organizes many events, conferences, seminars, symposiums, etc., for the students to have a fun and learning experience.

There is nothing much to say about average package and highest package because we have had no significant on-campus placement till date, but yeah great off-campus opportunities have been offered to MUJ civil graduates.

We do have a lab set up by Bosch itself and other labs too in college. Which are always available for project work. We are a part of the SAMM department (School of Automobile, Mechanical, and Mechatronics)

CV and Placements and Masters ( outside India )

Actually, your priority should not be preparing for placements. Your preference should be to learn. Because more the knowledge you have in our stream, more is your market value.

The ideal CV for our stream is

  • GPA of 8.5 and above
  • A lot of Projects related to Automation
  • Your number of training from industry
  • Your capability to build logic
  • And most importantly, are you updated with the latest technology in the market.

Well, we do have companies like Secure Meters, Think N Learn, Omaxe Auto, Extramarks coming for placements.
And an avg. Package – 5 LPA.  Highest package- 9LPA in the same field, 11LPA in IT sector.

But what should you do? Till college starts and after the college begins

  • As of now do learn basic C language. That is quite necessary.
  • If you are done with C, learn Python. Used in every upcoming microcontroller.
  • Get your basic electronics cleared.
    *Small question*
Which are the positive side and the negative side of a resistor? If you know this, then your basic electronics is well evident.
  • Do get to learn what Robotics is.

So if you are going to take Mechatronics because you have an interest in Robotics and Automation. TAKE IT. There is no looking back.

P.s. -Our department is very chill.

The placement of automobile engineering at Manipal University Jaipur is not quite promising as we don’t have much of automobile industries which hire freshers. In Manipal mostly the students of automobile department are placed in some other sectors. The average package which students receive is 4lakh per annum. When we talk about learning and knowledge, I may assure you that this is one of the best university for the same as the laboratories and course structure is just on point. Teachers are also experienced as well as knowledgeable. If you like to study this course you may be benefitted by Manipal, they can’t promise you the placement, but they will surely provide you with sufficient knowledge.
