Because of all the chemicals that we come in contact with, our hands tend to get dry. Washing your hands often only makes matters worse.
To soften dry hands:
1) Use protective gloves when cleaning. ( Rubber gloves with cotton inner lining is best)
2) Use soaps with emolients. ( Never use hot water for washing your hands – warm or cool is best)
3) Use a hand cream that contains natural oils like olive oil or coconut oil or creams that contain glycerine. ( I would also keep a little bottle of olive oil by the sink when you wash dishes. Rub in about a teaspoon after each dish washing session.)
4) You may also consider giving your hands a mini oatmeal facial. Then follow up with your favorite oil or glycerine based moisturizer.
