Chinese food is never “Chinese” in India, let alone other countries in the West or even the East. It’s always modified and customized by being loaded with spice just like we Indians are famous for but at the same time retaining the “soya sauce and chilly paste” tradition.
Here in Mangalore there’s hardly any difference even when it comes to the most authentic Chinese cuisine chain of restaurants, Mainland China. Nothings more Chinese, than the rich, mouth-watering aroma that fills your nostrils as you step into the restaurant followed by the scrumptious dishes served on its plates.
This restaurant has a great ambiance for all kinds of gatherings, be it family or friends, vegetarians or non- vegetarians. I personally prefer the selection of seafood served here and never to forget the desserts that are so irresistibly divine.
As for my experience I strongly recommend the following!
For starters, they have a wide variety of crunchy spring rolls, hot and sour soup, and prawns.
Main course: The dumplings are just too good and wok tossed Hakka noodles or Singapore noodles with any spicy sides will fill you up in no time.
And of course who can forget deserts, the most enticing are the yummy hot chocolate rolls with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and even the brownies served here are exquisite.
Boasting of quality and quantity, it has an affordable price range for those hungry stomachs at any time. They have a very attractive lunch buffet everyday with a good variety from their menu at a reasonably good price.
Set aside in quiet Kankanady, this place speaks for itself. The service and serving suggestions are very much appreciated and all the more worth it. From appetizers to desserts, Mainland China has got it all. Make sure you don’t leave Mangalore without visiting this place! It’s my belief to invest on happiness and happiness is food! 🙂
