This June, there are some fascinating movies like Dhilluku Dhuddu 2 and shows such as Bombers on ZEE5  look incredibly promising.

Here is a selection of 9 things I am looking forward to watching on ZEE5 this June!

1. Dhilluku Dhuddu 2: A Tamil horror-comedy film rehashing old movies involving ghost stories, this movie has been loved by audiences for its one-liners and has been critiqued to be a jolly-good time-pass horror-comedy. This would probably make it an enjoyable watch when it is pouring on a lazy Sunday afternoon.
2. Kailasapuram: Named after a township in Vishakhapatnam, Kailasapuram throws light on the dangers of substance abuse.  This movie will probably throw more light on the menace of substance abuse and will perhaps help understand the mindset of the youth that makes them fall into this habit. According to reviews,  this thriller series has a gripping narration, crisp editing, and relatable content.
3. Comedy Shots: Stand up comedy made its debut on ZEE5 this June. The show has an exciting line-up starring Anubhav Singh Bassi, Gaurav Kapoor, Rahul Dua, Sumit Anand, Sumaira Shaikh, Aadar Malik, Pratyush Chaubey and Sanjay Rajoura, the 8-episode series premiered on 7th June 2019. 2 episodes of the show will be released every week, and going by the lineup of comedians, it should be quite entertaining.
4. Water Bottle: A Bengali web series that promises to be an edge of the seat thriller. The show has all the makings to be an intense drama with a stellar cast featuring names like Deepak Chakraborty and Rajatava Dutta. Taking a novel approach towards thrillers, fans are sure to love this dark psychological thriller.
5. Kaafir: Premiering on June 15th, Kaafir is about an accused militant and her lawyer who tries to get her justice. This is a story of a Pakistani mother who is unable to return to a country following her entry into India amidst strange circumstances. Starring Dia Mirza and Mohit Raina in the lead, the series is a touching human drama, where emotions take the centre stage.

6. Bombers: Bombers is a fast-paced, high-octane sports drama which also stars Sapna Pabbi, Ranvir Shorey, Prince Narula, Meiyang Changi, Anup Soni, and others. Set in Chandannagar, West Bengal, the series revolves around a football league team, the Bombers FC. Football certainly makes for compelling drama on the field, I bet this web series will make for some exciting viewing off the field too!
7. N.E.R.D:  A techie who craves for love and affection, but wants undisturbed solitude too! A techie who meets 6 women during his mundane routine, only to find them disappearing one after another! Is there something sinister going on. Is he a NERD, or is something different about him? The concept just got to me. I will definitely be looking forward to this Telugu web series which begins on June 20th.
8. Panchatantra: Starring Vihan Gowda, Akshaya Gowda, and Sonal Monteiro, this Kannada movie revolves around disputed land! A drunken wager leads two groups of individuals to compete in a car rally for ownership of the property. A one of its kind movie, Panchatantra will have its digital premiere on ZEE5 this June.
9. Parchhayee: The 11th episode of this show aired on June 10th. When an undertaker mixes up Richard’s dead body with that of another man’s, Richard’s ghost starts haunting him. How will the Undertaker get over this grave mistake? With a concept like that, I really need to find time to watch this episode. Do watch the previous episodes as well, they are Ghost Stories written by Ruskin Bond. Going by his reputation as a writer, they are sure to thrill you!
