But this definitely doesn’t mean that you have to “go on a diet”. In fact, it’s quite the opposite. Instead of limiting your body and restricting your food, you should be thinking about the ways in which you can improve your body with food. One of the best ways to do this is to think of food as fuel. Because, in short, that’s what it is. We eat for energy and to keep our bodies functioning. So really, you should be thinking about the ways that different foods and boost your body and keep your looking and feeling healthy.

We’re starting off with something very original here, but it could even be the most important point of all ten. Because without water, your body just won’t be able to function properly. However, when you ensure that you’re drinking at least two liters of water each day, you really are doing the best by your body. When you’re properly hydrated, you can burn more fat, you’ll have more energy, and you’ll feel fuller for longer. And what could be better than that?

Omega 3

Up next, we have those magical fatty fish oils – the omegas. And in particular, omega 3. This type of fat is so incredible for your health. Not only does it keeps your joints supple and hydrated, but it can also be great for your skin too. Some of the best sources of omega 3s are, of course, oily fish such as mackerel and salmon. But if you’re not a fan of fish, you can also get your omegas in the form of vegetable oils, kale and spinach, and even walnuts too.

Leafy Greens

Vegetable wise, you’re pretty much going to be golden when you eat any kind of vegetables. But, leafy greens are some of the best you can get. They’re often high in iron, zinc, and even folic acid too; all three are vital to our health. Some of the best can be kale and spinach, but any kind of dark leafy vegetable is a great fuel for your body.

Lean Meats

Then there’s also lean meats to think about too. We all know that some of the best sources of protein are meats. But some meats are better sources than others. If you want to fill your diet full of lean meats, then you’re going to want to focus on a few in particular. Chicken and ground turkey, sirloin and tenderloin steaks, and any cut of veal are all lean and packed full of fueling proteins.

Whole Grains

From here, you’re also going to want to think about the whole grains you can enjoy too. Carbohydrates are an essential part of our diets. But they’re often seen as being bad for us. When you eat whole grains, you’re making the best choice. Next are the supplements you might like to think about stocking up on.  A nutrient supplement like Balance of Nature may work for your personal goals. When you want to eat well to get in shape, it can be tempting to look into illegal alternatives to simply working hard. But that’s always a bad choice. And with some great substitutes to steroids, there’s no need. Instead, you just need to find the supplements that work with your goals and can give you the desired results. After all, if your main focus is your health, you shouldn’t even consider that as an option.

And, of course, we’ve always got our vitamins to think about too. You may take vitamin supplements to support your daily intake of food, but you need to be focusing on the foods that are the best for you too. Oranges and apples, carrots and watermelon are really great for getting in your vitamins. But as long as you’re eating some kinds of fruits and vegetables each day, you’ll be topping up those levels anyway.

Finally, you’ve also got iron to think about. As we mentioned above, leafy greens are a great source of iron. For women, this can be even more important.
