The day started off with those, whose words are enough to injure a lay man’s soul, the literary scholars, the warriors who believe that the pen is actually mightier than the sword.
The adrenaline rush created by the Debate, topic being ‘We Can Wipe Out Corruption From Our Country’, was balanced by the light-hearted topics of Extempore like ‘Facebook’, ‘Mobile Phones’, ‘WhatsApp’, etc.
After a recess of about 45 minutes, the Counselling Hall in EDU filled up again for the soulful instrumental competition. Whereas, Pot Pourri started at around the same time at KMC Greens stage.
The events which were conducted parallel to the literary competitions were, Painting and Cartooning.
The highlight of the day was, undoubtedly, the grand Cultural Parade which began at 5PM.
The students showcased different cultures and portrayed various social issues through dance, drama and music.
The parade was graced, yet again, by PK. The students beautifully portrayed marriage customs from around the world, the Arabs and their culture, India and her cultural diversity and India through the brush strokes of Raja Ravi Varma.
Next, we witnessed some amazingly talented singers in Indian Non-Classical Vocals Solo and Group. The show stealers were the Malaysians who managed to sing Hindi songs.
The day concluded with the results of Debate and Extempore and the prize distribution of yesterday’s events of Staff UTSAV.
