ManipalCollege of Pharmaceutical Sciences hosted first National Pharmacy Cricket League, a T20 cricket tournament at the Manipal University Cricket Ground, End Point, Manipal. Six teams from across the the country participated in this 6 day event held between 27th of March and 2nd April 2012.

The tournament was inaugurated by Pro Chancellor Dr. H. S. Ballal,by lighting the traditional lamp. He asked the players to play fair and in the spirit of the game.

The tournament attracted a decent crowd throughout and most of the Matches were very close. The home team, MCOPS, Manipal made it to semi-finals where they lost by a whisker.
That went through the defense and uprooted the stumps !As a photographer, you need to be in the right position to get that perfect photo. Here, I tried to capture the strain on the bowler during the final delivery stride!And sometimes, you get lucky to capture something funny. This one though hurt the batsman quite a bit. Ouch!
The chief guest at the closing ceremony was Vice Chancellor Dr. K. Ramnarayan, himself a fine cricketer during his college days. He encouraged the students to take part in similar tournaments and use every facility provided by the university to develop their sporting skills.
