The Joys of being a dog owner...

Aaaand SORRY For the delay :/!!!

It’s been more than a week, but in my defence, the whole Telangana issue resulted in a lot of power cuts recently, leaving me with no internet and no purpose in life. So I was not able to post on Friday, as I was supposed to.

So first things first, I’d like to wish everyone out there a VERY Happy Dussera 🙂 !

Adding a little colour this time, to make up for the delay 😛

A lot of things have happened in the last few weeks, the most exciting of which has been a one month old puppy showing up in our mess hall. Now, for dog lovers like yours truly and my roomies, this is the equivalent of finding the leprechaun’s pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Needless to say, we took it in and pampered it silly.

The crying at night, the ripped clothes and those little ‘presents’ lying all over the room -.- NOT fun. And don’t even get me started on how much the little demon eats.

Despite all this however, it was still a real joy having her around for a couple of days. There’s nothing like a destructive little puppy to raise your spirits. We had to give her away though *sound of heart shattering*. As fun as it was, there’s no way we have time to take care of a puppy that young while in hostel.And quite frankly, I prefer giving the puppy away to someone better, rather than taking poor care of it.

So now, our room is clean, poop-free and feels emptier that it used to be.

*cue depression*

Also, been trying out this new software, which I heard all these illustrators use. I prefer Photoshop to it, though :/ I REALLY with I had a tablet or something… (*cough cough* Mom, if you’re reading this, hint, hint *cough*)

I finally get the time to draw, and I end up drawing Street rats holding swords… -.-

I’m not happy with it, but it will have to do for now, I suppose 🙂

Subconsciously Percy Jackson inspired, I think. I’ve been reading through the books like wildfire. I’m late, I know, but I guess I usually read/watch everything after the hype has died down, I guess.

I. LOVE. THE SERIES. :O

I read through the first series and the Heroes of Olympus in less than a week. And I’m quickly becoming those crazy obsessed fan-girl. NEW fandom, here I come 😀 *hearts in eyes* ! I’m halfway through House of Hades and still loving it. I will upload Fanart soon B)
