Orders for the new entrants are centrally being processed. Others who are interested in buying the above Laptop through Manipal University may deposit a draft for Rs. 34,393 favouring MAHE, Manipal payable at Manipal or Udupi for the amount mentioned above with Chief Wardens as mentioned below. This is applicable for faculty and officials of Manipal University also. If the student or faculty pays directly in student finance office, they must register their name in the Chief Warden’s office also with details of payment since we are getting consolidated list from Chief Warden’s office for placing purchase order.

It is proposed to place the order as under:
- First lot by 23rd July 2013 for the demands received till 22nd July 2013
- Second lot by 23rd August 2013 for the demands received till 22nd August 2013 to facilitate the demand of students who are on vacation now.
Delivery will be 4-5 weeks from the placement of Order.

All colleges under MU who provide laptops for new admissions will be giving these laptops to the students.
Will Freshers at MIT have to pay extra for the laptop or is it included in the fee already depositied?

You need to be a current staff or student. Or you can ask one of your colleagues at Manipal to purchase it for you.

Well Laptops were different a few years back for different courses.I don’t know about current situation.The author of this page could help.
