IEEE Student Branch Manipal Recruiting

ieee 125th blue

I must have mentioned more than often that I am a coordination committee member at IEEE Student Branch Manipal. We’ll call it IEEE SBM for short, shall we? Anyways…just a few moments ago, I received a message, asking me to write an article about IEEE SBM’s latest news and events. With quite a compact time limit (Yeah, and with this darned semester), I had particularly minimal idea about what I would write. So, I finally agreed on to this:

Change is imperative. And that is exactly what is IEEE SBM’s agenda these days. With changes in the working committee, some recruitments and workshops in full flow, we have other plans as well. Of expansion. With the age-old (but still as awesome) departments of the Technical Resource Team (TRT) – Computing, Electronics, Robotics, Mechanical – there are plans for two more…! Biomed/Biotech and Civil!
And so follow the recruitments! Contenders for these limited team slots please note the following:

1st April 2011: Written tests
5:15 pm onwards.
Venue: Old Building – L-324, 325, 326, 327, 328.
Interested students can contact:

Apart from the technical stuff, the IEEE SBM is also looking forward to having more (and better) of these super-cool posters out there (We all love these posters, don’t we now?) Oh, and one helluva website to add on! Hence, the introduction of the Poster and Web Design teams!

Let it be noted that interested students should have the following prerequisites:

  • Poster Design Team: Thorough knowledge of Photoshop/Other Design Softwares.
  • Web Design Team: HTML/CSS/PHP
Interested students can SMS their MIT registration number and choice of team (Poster Design/Web Design) to:
