Friendship – A Poem by Purbasha Chanda

Friendship means being together in both weal and woe.
Friendship is the umbrella to protect you from the scorching sun.
It is the only means to keep you dry in a gale.
Friendship is not a friendship that alters like the seasons of life.

Friendship stands like a banyan tree even in all tempests and tsunamis of strife.
Do you think – friendship is signing any bond or promises made for only give and take and a means to fulfil our selfish needs?
No, its an assurance to thread together in the deserts of life.
Friendship is not flowers that bloom day and night.
It’s the fragrance that remains throughout life.
