Euphoria at Dhol Baje 2018

Dhol Baje ’18, the latest version of Manipal’s biggest event of the odd semester, took place at KMC Greens on 31st October. The venue was studded with students wearing ethnic wears which gave the event a festive pomp. It’s organizers, the Rotaract Clubs of MAHE and Manipal made it a point to make the event grand. Students from 22 colleges of MAHE attended this celebration of culture that unites the university. Food and chat stalls availed the students to stay longer and enjoy to the fullest.
The event commenced with students dancing on some lit garba music that the DJ offered to which everyone danced to the next level of craziness. Burning Ice and Glam and Glitz, the fashion clubs of Manipal presented their shows with their models wearing some of the best costumes which seemed to be a confluence of sharp ethic touch, western wear and abstract fashion elements. Later in the event, Showstoppers, the biggest dance crew of MAHE, mesmerized the audience with their Bhangra, Contemporary and Hip-hop moves.
With lots of vooting, applauses and cheers, KMC Greens had its air pumping joy and joy only. At the end, there was some more Garba music thrown by the DJ which made everyone dance as if there was no tomorrow. Students grouped themselves up and showed off their dandiya skill as well. At last, owing to the perm timing, people had to leave with a feeling of wanting to stay longer. The amount of money the organizers collected by selling the tickets will be doubled by the university and donated in charity.
