A few years ago, when I had been to Bangalore to meet one my friends, I wanted to have eggs for breakfast. So he took me to this place called ‘Egg Factory’. I became a big fan of theirs as soon as I saw many egg delicacies on the menu. Afterwards, I wished for such a place back home at Manipal. Guess my wishes were heard. 5 years later, the Egg Factory has finally come to Manipal. Whoa…. It felt like the best day of my life.

I wanted badly to go to that place and grab everything on the menu. But my adhik mah upvaas was stopping me. Never mind ‘sabr ha phal meeta hota hai’ I thought.
And the day came when I asked my wife if she wants to join me on Sunday for breakfast and she said no. So I Went alone. Found it good. Very good ambiance, just as I like it to be. Courteous staff too. I do recommend this if you like something other than the regular coastal fare.
I found the seating really great as I love such tables and chair and those benches.
I ordered tea, as I wanted to get that feel. 🙂 In the menu the most attractive name was “Kejriwal toast”, which is a Crisp Butter Toast topped with Masalafied Fried Egg. But it was like that fellow with same surname, looks promising but tastes disappointing.
Anda Fajita is Scrambled Eggs with Mushroom, Red Bell Pepper & Tomatoes, 2 Tortillas. Apart from the tasteless tortilla this was actually a worth eating.
I also tried the creamy scrambled egg with spinach and desi penne pasta. The Desi Penne Pasta had a rich tomato flavour that I liked.
Fritata a 3 egg omelet and Bombay Style baida rotti were okayish. Stay away from the rotti if you’ve already tried this in Mumbai, the taste at Manipal is not all that great.
The anda keema was yummy. The egg vindaloo not so great and had a pasta sauce like feel to it.
