When two artists from France – Abderzak Houmi and Aurelien Kairo, entered on the stage of Roshni Nilaya, Mangalore, little did the audience expect the promised amount of generous humor and dance. The group ‘De Fakto‘, with the two-more fondly known as ‘Zak’ and ‘Angelo’ had indeed succeeded in narrating a story about two contrasting personalities who eventually get to each other, to face the vicissitudes of life. The program was organised by Alliance Francais.
Mimes and various styles of dance came together, to form the compelling tale – La belle affair. Two youngsters who are pulled down by life, come back and revive their joie de vivre. This is depicted with a melange of styles and compositions like break dance, hip-hop dance and tetris.
However, they saved the best for the last. The charismatic Zak, had his sleeve full of tricks to wow the crowd. Gags like asking the translator Camille to translate a dance movement, and posing for the photographer, were a huge hit. In spite of the humidity, they managed to pull off a show which will be a light hearted memory in all the fifty people who were present.
