What do you weave, O ye flower-girls

With tassels of azure and red?

Crowns for the brow of a bridegroom,

Chaplets to garland his bed.

Sheets of white blossoms new-garnered

To perfume the sleep of the dead.

Lotus
Anybody who has ever observed a lotus flower emerging from a murky pond cannot fail to see the beauty of this exquisite plant.

Lotus flower has come to be associated with purity and beauty in the religions of Buddhism and Hinduism respectively.
The ancient Egyptians scholars associate it with the flower related to rebirth and the Sun.

It is the national flower of india.

I personally love the lotus as it has a deeper meaning to life that makes to realize a lot of things about life.
1. It emerges from murky waters which means no matter where you come from the beauty lies within.
2. It has roots entangled all below it signifying difficulty times in life.
3. Its leaves float on the surface telling us to do the impossible and to be patient.
4. It still emerges out of all the difficulties into the beautiful looking holy lotus flower.

Not surprising that this flower is considered one of the most holiest flower in Hinduism and Buddhism.

And how can we forget its association with ‘Valentines day’, a Valentines day without roses is considered incomplete. And with the number of choices we have today we can choose the color of rose that might signify love, friendship, or respect for that someone who value to you.

Gifting someone a rose doesn’t have need to have a particular reason. The flower can be magical when given to someone. Just give it to someone and see the million watt smile on their face!
