Scholarships at Manipal University Jaipur

I am writing this to solve all your queries regarding scholarship at Manipal University Jaipur, this post is intended for B.Tech Freshers.

  • You have to apply for scholarship after coming to college, mostly in the month of September-October.
  • Scholarship is applicable only on Tuition Fees, and not the Hostel Amount.

There are various types of scholarships, available at MUJ.  I am listing all of them and their requirements and what documents you need to submit.

1. TMA Pai Engineering Scholarship

  • Awarded to 2 Top Rankers entering MUJ. Usually, the guys with ranks around 3k who join the college, get this scholarship.
  • The scholarship amount will be certain percentage of Tuition Fees, depending upon your parent’s income.
  • Students applying for these scholarships are required to submit copies of their parents’ (both mother and father) Form 16/16A/ITR of the last two years, along with Entrance Exam Rank Card, 10th and 12th Marksheet.
  • 8 CGPA is required for getting the scholarship in further years.

2. TMA Pai Merit Scholarship

  • This is awarded to 3 Board Toppers of each Branch.
  • It will depend upon your Board Percentage, Board Percentage required to get this scholarship, varies according to each Branch.
  • In CSE, expect it to be around 95%. Amount of scholarship will be 100%, 50%, 25% of Tuition Fee, depending upon your percentage.
  • Students applying for these scholarships are required to submit copies of their parents’ (both mother and father) Form 16/16A/ITR of the last two years, along with Entrance Exam Rank Card, 10th and 12th Marksheet.
  • 8 CGPA is required for getting the scholarship in further years.

3. Rajasthan Merit Scholarship

  • This is applicable for the students from Rajasthan Domicile, with the highest board percentage in their respective branch. To be eligible, the student should have passed his/her 10th and 10+2 exam from a school in Rajasthan.
  • Scholarship Amount is 1 Lac Rupees.
  • The student has to submit domicile (issued by the competent government authority), 10th and 12th Marksheet to avail this scholarship.
  • To continue to get the scholarship, the student should maintain a CGPA of 7.5 or above.

4. Scholarship for Siblings

  • 20% fee waiver will be offered on annual tuition fee for each sibling enrolled in the university in the 1st Year in the form of scholarships.
  • These scholarships will be given to those students whose family income is less than Rs.5 lakhs per annum.
  • Students applying for these scholarships are required to submit copies of their parents’ (both mother and father) Form 16/16A/ITR of last two years. These requisite documents are to be submitted every year.
  • The siblings should be studying concurrently in the University (MUJ) and in the case of withdrawal/exit of any one sibling from the University, the scholarship shall be withdrawn.
  • To continue to get the scholarship, the student should maintain a CGPA of 7.5 or above.

5. Scholarship for Differently Abled Students

  • Scholarships are available for “differently-abled” students whose family income is less than Rs.5 lakhs per annum.
  • Scholarship Amount varies with Degree of Handicap. Students applying for these scholarships are required to submit copies of their parents’ (both mother and father) Form 16/ 16A/ ITR of the last two years, Certificate of Handicap issued by competent authority.
  • To continue to get the scholarship, the student should maintain a CGPA of 7.5 or above.

6. Scholarships for wards of Martyrs of Defence Personnel / Para Military Forces

  • 20% fee-waiver is offered to the wards of martyrs of defence and para military personnel.
  • To avail the scholarship, the student has to submit the certificate of martyrdom issued by the competent state / national government authority.
  • To continue to get the scholarship, the student should maintain a CGPA of 7.5 or above.

7. Scholarships for the wards of Single Mother & Orphan Child

  • 20% Fee-Waiver will be given to students, who are “wards of Single Mother having income less than 5LPA” or “are orphans”.
  • Required Documents(Certificate of Single Mother/Orphan) need to be submitted.
  • For wards of Single Mother, copies of their mother’s Form 16 / 16A / ITR of the last two years need to be submitted.
  • To continue to get the scholarship, the student should maintain a CGPA of 7.5 or above.

8. Scholarships for Branch Toppers

  • 20% fee-waiver on annual tuition fee will be offered to respective branch toppers after every year.
  • Student has to submit his Marksheet and must remain the Branch Topper in order to continue getting the scholarship.
