Induction Ceremony 2013-2014

Few years back we were in first year, trying to tackle with new situations away from home and our comfort zone doing all those tooth carvings, encounter with cadaver and being brave enough to prick ourselves . From 1^st year to 3^rd year is a long journey trying to figure out things and realizing what seems difficult is not the same at the end of academic session and there is lot more to come in the coming year.

The 3^rd year usually called as ‘Honeymoon Period’ started out with a bang of clinical postings, a feel of being a doctor and it was our turn to be the council batch. Finally it was our time to be in the Students Council. The rumours, possibilities and campaigning of candidates wanting to be in the council started soon after coming back from the holidays. The notice for submitting the names for various posts was out and each one’s interview started.

On 30^th August 2013, Induction Ceremony was organized to give away the badges to the new council members by the previous council members. On this auspicious occasion, the whole dental family of professors and students were present to witness it. The previous council members welcomed the new council with their best wishes and presented a short review summing up the different activities that were carried out successfully in year 2012-2013. The President of DSA 2013-2014 introduced his team and put up some of activities planned for the coming year and promised to live up to the expectations of everyone. We- the 3^rd year dental under-graduates are eagerly looking forward to this new session in a hope to live up to the expectations and set up new mile stones.
