The world I see…

A painting depicting the tragic massacre of thousands of Innocent and peaceful Indians by General Dyer and his troops is displayed at the memorial in Jallianwala Bagh, Amritsar, Punjab.

I sit by the window of life
Staring at the world,
Beautiful yet barbaric
Charming yet melancholic;

I see love,
I see pain
With all the human souls,
Passing through in vain;

I close my eyes
To not bear sight to their plight,
I plead my heart
Not to break itself apart…
