The students and staff of Manipal University and residents of Manipal along with the trainers at MARENA, Manipal organised a Candle March on the evening of 24th Dec 2012, in support of the Delhi Gang-rape victim who is battling for her life and the protesters at India Gate in Delhi.
Participants included Dr. Kavitha Raja ( Physiotherapist at KMC, Manipal ) , Dr. Sadhana Kini ( member of the Mahila Samaj ,Rotary club and Human Rights Manipal) , Nisha, Anand, Shikha,Manas and Saurav (Trainers at MARENA, Manipal), students of Manipal University colleges – MCOAHS , MIM,KMC, MIT,MCODS ,MCOPS etc. The March was well attended and was given good support by the Manipal Police and press.
