Static remains my heart

Bathing in the crimson fire of love,
Burning in its passion,
Yet as cold as the glacier’s core,
Static remains my heart

A taste of beauty it had once
A touch of lust it experienced once,
Paralysed, without her tender beauty
Static remains my heart

Lying dormant in its sea of sickness
Fragmenting, piece by piece, day by day
I wonder what happens to this juvenile heart
I wonder if I can hear it beat again…
