The 21st Century Breakdown by Kabir Jain

I write this not to announce something bad
Neither your sympathy for the situation which is sad
This is just the true picture of society
Full of deep- hearted, hidden anxiety
For the love is forgone, faith disappeared
Truth no more prevails, lies aren’t forbidden
Everyone is vulnerable; seed of doubt smeared
Gashes of fresh blood stained, for treachery is geared
Fake love in pets and material thing has been found
Envy, jealousy and domination has become the basis and, of the ground
By “to each one his own ” we are bound
Morale and duties have become so unsound
Life has become just a thing of (handle with care crockery)
breaks us thousand times and turns us into the mockery
how damn mischievous the people have become
how disheartening it is to succumb at the beat of a rhythm
relations have changed ,foul words been exchanged
the situation is out of range so in pity fights we have been engaged
The blood is shimmering, the heart is quivering
the soul bewildered, the mind is slithering
talks have ended ,all twists and turns bended
on earth itself the hell has blended
so much for the souls has to be mended
Bliss eaten alive
anger and depression lone here thrive
each one finds it hard to strive
as one passes into madness’s drive
Where right becomes wrong and wrong becomes right
where we cover with masks even the
dark to make it look bright
where sadness has reached its optimum heights
where even the day becomes a bitterly bad night
Such is my friend the illusion grand
sorry to say nothing is in your hands
time passes away ,luck has its own way
I do find it sheer strange and stray
A man has just one shot, he’s got too much to fill the pot
Each moment still he burns blurred red hot…
