School and testing are behind. Now you can proudly name students. It’s not as easy as it seems. Especially in the first year of study. Because in a higher educational institution everything will be different. And yesterday’s student is not always easy to adapt to a new student’s life. It’s not so easy to do homework which is much more than at school and especially when it comes to paper writing. Here are some useful tips from the teachers for you.

Tip 1

Do not worry! In the first days and even weeks of training, you will surely feel confusion, and even depression – all around the unfamiliar, people of the dark, “nobody has any business to you.” This is an unpleasant but absolutely normal condition, which is due to adaptation to new circumstances, which will be very soon. It will be difficult for you to find someone in the beginning who would give you some writing help, for example. But while you are poorly guided in labyrinths of corridors and numbering of audiences, take the rule of leaving your home (or dormitory) for 10-15 minutes earlier than your time on the road to the university takes. Firstly, do not be late for the first couple, and secondly, you will not be nervous again.

Tip 2

Appearance! The main thing is moderation in everything: a hairstyle, clothes, jewellery, cosmetics, perfumes … You make a good impression not only on teammates but also on teachers.

Tip 3

University employees need to know in person. Therefore, in the very first days, find out where the dean’s office of your faculty is located, look there and get acquainted with the dean, with the curator of his group. It will then help you resolve various issues quickly which may concern any writing tips you need.

Tip 4

The schedule is your guide. Unlike school, the university schedule may sometimes change, so do not be lazy to look at it. The schedule must always be with you.

Tip 5

Do not hesitate to visit the library. Textbooks should be sufficient for all students, but this is only “theoretically”. In fact, the principle of “who did not have time, he was late” operates. Find out in advance what you need to have with you so that you are recorded in the library. Have a look at the schedule of the library. Perhaps there you will find examples from the custom essay when you need it.

Tip 6

With a notebook in your hands, walk around the university units that you need: chairs, auditoriums, lecture halls, computer classes, laboratories. Record the days and hours of work and consultations at the departments. Be sure to get acquainted with classmates. Do not hesitate to call the curator, fellow students, to clarify the timetable, the timing of modular control, abstracts, and the like.

Tip 7

Capture enough notebooks, pens, coloured pencils. Those who, not wanting to “drag overweight”, write all the notes in one notebook, make a big mistake: preparing for modules from such records will be difficult. On the back of the cover write down the last name, first name and patronymic of the teacher who teaches the subject.

Tip 8

As soon as possible, learn to write lectures. It’s easy, the main thing – to develop a system of symbols and understandable to you abbreviations. All characters, along with the decryption, write down the back cover of the notebook. Summarizing, do not save paper. Leave notes in the notebook for additional notes. Record lectures as custom research papers.

Tip 9

On practical, seminar sessions do not sit back, but behave actively: speak with additions, clarifications, ask questions.

If you do not miss lectures and practical classes, then you have a real chance to get to the cohort of the most successful students.
